An individual entrepreneur cannot make a record for himself in the labour book

11.08.2021

An individual entrepreneur cannot conclude an employment contract with himself. Otherwise, he would have acted both as an employer and as an employee at the same time.

In addition, entrepreneurial activity is not a labour activity. It refers to independent activity aimed at making a profit from the sale of goods or the provision of services. That is, the entrepreneur does not perform any labour function.

Therefore, the sole proprietor cannot make an entry about conducting activities in the labour book.

However, an entrepreneur can make entries for other employees. As in this case, the employer is an entrepreneur, and the employee is another person.
