In 2022, there will be six long weekends

In order to rationalise the use of weekends and non-working holidays by employees, some weekends will be rescheduled and changed in 2022:

  • from Saturday, January 1 to Tuesday, May 3;
  • from Sunday, January 2 to Tuesday, May 10;
  • from Saturday, March 5 to Monday, March 7.

The federal portal has published a draft Government Resolution on the transfer, prepared by the Ministry of Labour.


Thus, taking everything into account, there will be the following rest days in 2022:

  • from December 31, 2021, to January 9, 2022;
  • February 23;
  • from March 6 to 8;
  • from April 30 to May 3 and from May 7 to May 10;
  • from June 11 to June 13;
  • from November 4 to November 6.
