The terms of stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation in connection with the coronavirus

Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dd 15.12.2020 N 791 «On the extension of temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation in connection with the threat of the further spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)» was signed.

In particular, the duration of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence, and the terms of registration at the place of stay will be prolonged if such terms expire during the specified period.

A work permit to a foreign citizen is issued for any period up to June 15, 2021.

The decree comes into force from the date of its signing.
