Extension of several anti-crisis measures in the field of currency legislation and corporate law
By the Decree of the President of Russia No. 958 of 18.12.2023, changes were made to extend several measures established in 2022 and 2023 to stabilize the Russian economy.
Until the end of#nbsp;2024, the ban on#nbsp;payment of#nbsp;shares, deposits, and shares in#nbsp;the property of#nbsp;a#nbsp;non-resident legal entity without obtaining permission from Russian Central Bank has been extended. For some Russian organizations with foreign participation (strategic enterprises, manufacturers of#nbsp;equipment for the fuel and energy sector, oil refiners, and others), the ban on#nbsp;transactions has been extended until the end of#nbsp;2025, as#nbsp;a#nbsp;result of#nbsp;which the right to#nbsp;own shares and interests in#nbsp;such companies may be#nbsp;established, changed or#nbsp;terminated.
Russian based companies operating in#nbsp;the fields of#nbsp;energy, trade, and mechanical engineering and meeting the established criteria can make decisions until December 31, 2024, without taking into account the votes of#nbsp;participants from unfriendly countries.
