The list of countries whose citizens can obtain a temporary residence permit in Russia in a simplified manner has been established

Since September 1, 2024, foreigners wishing to move to Russia due to the destructive policies of their countries have been granted the right to apply for a temporary residence permit (TRP) in Russia without a Russian language exam, Russian history exam, and the exam of the basics of Russian legislation.
The Order of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated September 17, 2024, N 2560-r, established a list of such countries. The list includes all EU countries except Hungary and Slovakia, as well as, for example, Australia, the USA, and Japan.

Citizens arriving from the countries mentioned in the list can apply for a temporary residence permit, indicating the relevant reasons. The decision to issue a permit is made provided that there are no grounds for refusing to issue it.
