It is allowed to hold general meetings of shareholders or participants in the form of absentee voting

On February 24, the President of the Russian Federation signed Federal Law No. 17-FZ «On Amendments to the Federal Law «On International Companies and International Funds» and the suspension of certain provisions of the Federal Laws «On Joint Stock Companies» and «On Limited Liability Companies».

The law suspended a number of provisions of corporate legislation related to the procedure for conducting some corporate processes in 2021, the implementation of which may be complicated because of the current measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the world as a whole.

Thus, according to the law, until December 31, 2021, it is allowed to hold general meetings of participants, including the most important issues related to JSC and LLC’s economic activities, in the form of absentee voting.
