It will be possible to suspend the employee from work for not using workwear.

From March 1, 2022, employers will be able to suspend employees from work on a new basis — non-use of workwear.

The amendment was introduced by Federal Law No. 311-FZ dd 02.07.2021.

Article 76 of the Labour Code was updated with a new sixth paragraph. It allows to suspend an employee who does not use personal protective equipment according to the established procedure, the use of which is mandatory when performing work with harmful and dangerous working conditions or in special temperature conditions.

This norm will come into force from March 1, 2022.
