In 2024, the anti-crisis procedure for transferring to another employer in Russia will continue to apply

Special procedures for temporarily transferring employees to another employer will be valid until January 1, 2025.
From April 4, 2022, until December 31, 2023, a temporary procedure was in effect, according to which employers who suspended operations could transfer employees to other organizations.

By Decree of the Government of Russia of 29.12.2023 No. 2390, this procedure was extended until the end of 2024.

Thus, in 2024, if the employer in Russia suspends production (work), the employee may be temporarily transferred to work for another employer in the direction of the employment center. This procedure requires the written consent of the employee. The temporary employer enters into a fixed-term employment contract with him with the possibility of an extension until January 01, 2025. The consent of the main employer is required for renewal.

During the period of temporary transfer, the original employment contract is suspended, but its duration is not interrupted. The original agreement remains in full force after a fixed-term employment contract is terminated.
