Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 23.09.2020 N 580 «On amendments to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated April 18, 2020 N 274 «On temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation in connection with the threat of the further spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)» was published.
In particular, the terms of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation, the terms of registration at the place of stay or residence are suspended if such terms expire during the specified period.
In addition, foreign citizens are allowed to leave the Russian Federation for their countries of citizenship (without transit through the territories of other foreign states) using documents that prove their identity and are recognized in the Russian Federation, if the validity of such documents expired after March 14, 2020.
The decree comes into force on September 16, 2020.
