Since August 27, 2024, small technology companies can obtain IT accreditation under simplified rules. The process of confirming the accreditation of IT companies has also been optimized.
The RF Government Resolution of August 26, 2024, N 1149 amended the Regulation on state accreditation of Russian organizations in the information technology field.
To support small IT companies, the procedure for state accreditation has been simplified for them since August 27, 2024. For such companies, the verification of the share of income from IT activities of startups included in the register of small technology companies is canceled.
The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia informs in the letter dated August 27, 2024 that:
• IT companies from new regions of Russia will be able to obtain accreditation regardless of the average monthly amount of payments to employees (the benefit will be valid until July 1, 2025);
• applications for the annual accreditation confirmation procedure will be accepted only electronically through the State Services Portal;
• as part of the confirmation procedure, an audit ofthe level of wages will be carried out for two quarters instead of five;
• if a company received accreditation in the year of its creation, then it may not undergo a scheduled confirmation procedure that year.
IT accreditation allows companies to pay taxes and insurance contributions at reduced rates, employ foreign IT specialists in a simplified way, and receive an exemption from inspections by regulatory authorities, as well as on-site tax audits and other preferences from the state.
