The draft law with amendments to Federal Law No. 167-FZ regarding the reduced contributions to The Pension Fund for IT companies was recently approved at a Russian Trilateral Commission’s meeting on the Regulation of Social and Labour Relations.
Earlier, labour unions were shocked that the project on reducing contributions from 8% to 6% for the IT-sphere from January 1, 2021, was approved without their agreement.
On March 26, this meeting took place, and the project was approved.
In fact, the contribution rate has already been reduced. The new rate is registered in the Tax Code and has been applied for three months.
But the fact is that the Pension Fund’s contribution rate should be written not only in the Tax Code but also in Law No. 167-FZ. So, amendments must be made to it.
