Companies operating in the circulation of cosmetic products and household chemicals can test technologies for applying labeling of goods free of charge as part of a plann

From December 1, 2023 to February 28, 2025, it is planned to conduct an experiment on labeling.
According to the Information of the Ministry of Industry and Trade dated November 1, 2023, from December 1, 2023 to February 28, 2025, it is planned to conduct an experiment on labeling of goods related to perfumery, cosmetics, and household chemicals, in particular:
  • cosmetics or make-up products,
  • products for manicures or pedicure,
  • shampoos, hair sprays, and other hair products,
  • products for oral or dental hygiene,
  • products used for shaving,
  • deodorants,
  • bath compositions,
  • hair removal products
  • bar and liquid soap,
  • detergents and cleaning products, etc.

As part of the experiment, the following will be worked out and tested:
  • technologies for applying labeling of goods,
  • interaction of participants in circulation with the labeling information system,
  • other issues related to the organization of labeling of this product group.

Organizations operating in the field of cosmetic products and household chemicals are taking part in the experiment voluntarily. Equipment for the duration of the tests and labeling codes will be provided to manufacturers free of charge. An assessment of the real costs of manufacturers and other participants in the turnover for the introduction of labeling will be carried out during the experiment, subject to the active participation of business entities in it.
Based on the experiment results, the Ministry of Trade will decide whether to introduce or not mandatory labeling for this product group.
