By Federal law No.16 of 06.02.2020, international students are allowed to carry out labor activities in their free time from studies without obtaining a work permit.
The list of foreign employees who can carry out labor activities in the Russian Federation without obtaining a work permit and in the absence of employer permission to attract foreign labor includes foreign citizens studying in the Russian Federation on a full-time basis in professional educational organizations and educational organizations of higher professional education.
If a foreign citizen has completed or stopped studying at an educational institution, an employment contract or a civil law contract for the performance of work (provision of services) concluded with such a citizen shall be terminated.
