Whose revenue exceeds twenty million roubles, is obliged to provide consumers with the ability to make payments in a non-cash manner

From July 1, 2021, the seller (service provider), whose revenue for the previous calendar year exceeds twenty million roubles, is obliged to provide consumers with the ability to make payments in a non-cash manner using national payment instruments.

The range of business entities required to provide consumers with the ability to make payments in a non-cash manner using national payment instruments within the national payment card system has been expanded. Now, these requirements are mandatory to the sellers (service providers) who sell goods and provide services remotely.

At present, the obligation to ensure the possibility of paying for goods (works, services) using national payment instruments applies to the seller (service provider), whose revenue from the sales for the previous calendar year exceeds forty million rubles.

In the period from March 1 to June 30, 2021, this obligation will apply to the seller (service provider), whose revenue from the sale of goods (work, services) for the previous calendar year exceeds thirty million rubles.


And then, from July 1, 2021, for those whose revenue exceeds twenty million roubles.


This Federal law comes into force on November 1, 2020, except for provisions that come into force on July 1, 2021.
