A new procedure for making changes to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities will take effect

Article 5 of Federal Law No. 129-FZ dd 08.08.2001 "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs" was amended by Federal Law No. 350-FZ dd 27.10.2020.

According to the new rules, the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities will be updated automatically without the applicant. When a company changes its name, the tax service itself will change the information in those registers where the company is mentioned as a member of other organizations or as a shareholder.

From April 26, 2021, the deadline for submitting information to the authorized Federal Tax Service for making changes to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities will be increased up to 7 working days. Today, companies must send notifications within 3 working days from the date of changing the information.

The previous version of the law stated that the Unified State Register of Legal Entities contained not only information but also documents, including the original or notarized copy of the constituent document of the legal entity. Now the lawmaker has excluded references to the documents from the text of the article. In other words, from April 26, 2021, the register will no longer contain any documents and charters of companies.
